Back to About UsDr. Elena Ocher, M.D. is Founder of Elena Ocher Medical, Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management, Pain Management & Anesthesia. Elena Ocher MD is an Executive Director of NY Migraine Associates and founder of Elena Ocher Medical PC/Universal VIP Medical Services where she focuses professionally on treatment of Headaches/Migraines, Central and Peripheral Nerve System Disorders, Post-Traumatic Pain, Degenerative Disc Disease and Spinal pain, Herniated Disks, Neuropathic pain and Sympathetic pain syndrome.
She strongly believes and profoundly understands the individual needs of patients facing a pain disorder.
A Graduate of Pavlov First St. Petersburg Medical Academy as a General Surgeon, later trained in Neuro Surgery, Dr. Ocher received her extensive medical experience at Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery and then at The Queen's University Hospital, Department of Neurosurgery in Northern Ireland. Upon arriving in New York, Dr. Ocher successfully completed training in Anesthesiology and Pain Management, graduating with an Award of Excellence in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia from Montefiore Medical Center University Hospital of Albert Einstein Medical School.
Dr. Elena Ocher is among the foremost Pain Management practitioners in New York City. Her training years at the most prestigious medical centers provides the knowledge and expertise to develop successful Pain Management Algorithms/Protocols for patients who have been living with their pain for years and often had nowhere to go. She aspires to educate her patients with their conditions to help them understand and choose the right treatment option. She strongly believes that the patient's trust is an integral part of the doctor-patient relationship.
Dr. Ocher has received numerous honors throughout her distinguished career. She has been professionally affiliated with numerous Medical Societies: Scientific Society of Neurology and Neurosurgery, NY Society of Anesthesiologists, American Headache Society, American Academy of Pain Management and Member of NY Migraine Associates. Dr. Ocher keeps aware of many modern progressions made in the field of migraines and pain management treatments, participates in numerous clinical symposiums and studies, has authored a variety of publications.
